Alcohol Detox: Methadone Facts

Question: Hi, i am currently doing a home alcohol detox at home using diazepam, its an 8 day detox and im on day 4,?

I have done previous detoxes using chlordiapoxide which i didn't like and felt terrible but felt ok after 3 days, these diazepam are really causing me hell, i have severe head aches and wobblyness and anxiety, i am on 40mg split into 4 doses reducing by 5mg every day, can anyone please tell me if its ok to swap back to to chlordiapoxide halfway through this detox, please help, many thanks.

Those kind of detox drugs are pretty unhealthy and dangerous to take, just drink water and consciously decide not to drink man.

Diazepam (valium) are used for lots of things....calming mainly so not taking them is not going to cause you that many problems my friend....im no doctor so maybe you should ask your doctor...depending on the extent of your alcoholism years? months? doctors know what there doing..using your strong will and mind will get you through this....all the best and remember its YOU thats cracking this problem NOT the tablets....they are only there to help you....peace
