My brother has been in alcohol detox 3 times in a 12 month period. my mom visited him wed in the detox hospital and she said he didnt look good at all. he checked himself in last friday because he drank 16 beers in about 2 hours. he has been to detox numerous times in his life, he will quit for awhile then just go back to drinking again. the doctors told him last time (before this time) that his body wont be able to handle another detox. he is only 35 yrs old.

Alcohol does a number on your body and getting off it once addicted can cause a lot of stress. He won't quit until he really wants to.
