Advice on drug abuse/change of behaviour?
Lately, I have noticed small changes in my flatmate at university. We have always been extremely open about how history with drugs, and we were always aware that she had played with marijuana, ecstasy, magic mushrooms and various pills.But in the past semester, she has started to excessively drink, smoke, and always seems so distant. And in the past few weeks, her behaviour has spiraled downwards. Every evening she is usually sneaking out at 1 in the morning, and returning at around 5ish. And when we question her about it she seems so secretive, dismissive, and even aggressive. Her behaviour has scared all of us, so much that we have searched the internet and believe she may possibly have moved onto harder drugs.Has anyone had any similar experiences? What advice does anyone have for us to do? We are so concerned, but it's not an easy thing. Also, if say she was on harder drugs, what would her behaviour be like? Any help would be very much appreciated, thank you.

Could his drug abuse cause a miscarriage?
We lost our son around 5months and have no idea what caused it. His father was abusing drugs when we conceived he is completely clean and has been for months is it at all possible that his drug abuse could've effected the baby and possibly caused the miscarriage?He was addicted to percocets and using xanax and other drugs. What are the long-term effects of yearly drug abuse (400 + mg of dyphenhydramine a night)?
I've recently caught up with an old friend and I've just learned about his 'addiction' Bottle says 'non habit forming' to over the counter sleeping pills containing dyphenhydramine, and he claims that he's been taking four hundred plus mg a night of this stuff for years and has built a very strong tolerance so he's had to take more to get the same affects out of it. He said he didn't start out at four hundred mg, but his continued abuse of it led to more and more pills.He's really odd now. What are the long term effects that this could have caused too him?

Is the risk for drug abuse the reason anti-depressants take weeks to reach full effect?
It's obvious ecstasy, makes people overly happy, in a very short time. It would be very easy for the drug manufacturers to make slow release capsules I guess.Isn't there such a thing as serotonin reuptake inhibitors that dramatically increase the amount of serotonin in the brain quickly even though it still takes a long time to take effect? The question I was meaning is why isn't ther medicine available that works immediately?
