Drug Addiction: Methadone Facts

Question: Does anyone know if alcoholism and / or drug addiction is still legally considered a disability?

Of course its a disability... Would you qualify for SSI or Social Security disability if that is your only impairment? No. They stopped doing that in the late 90's.

Yes both alcohimism and drug dependencies are considered disabilities. However, you must be actively seeking treatment if you want to get the benefits associated with being disabled.
