Question: How do i tell my new girlfriend (who is a drug/alcohol counselor) that i used to be a drug addict?

You don't. Unless the relationship becomes serious. And then you just say it like it is. I didn't say anything before because we were just starting out, but now things are more serious I need you to know... and then tell her

There's nothing wrong if you confess or tell your girlfriend what you were before, remember that the truth hurts for a while but a lie hurt forever. So what are you waiting for?go and tell your girlfriend how you feel,maybe she can help you and tell you more advices.

Were you in affordable alcohol rehab? I have no idea why she'd be upset about this. If she is a counselor and you are sober, you really shouldn't have a problem. Just be honest.
