Drug Alcohol: Methadone Facts

Question: I need to stop using drugs & alcohol but i'm not so sure how?

I'm taking some very hard classes in school and these habits are making it nearly impossible to pay attention/ pass. I've been drinking and using drugs for 4 years so I really don't know how to stop. I try but I don't seem to have enough self control. (Mainly alcohol and cocaine are my problems but I use other things)

I think school needs to take a backseat right now. I think you should focus on finding a program or place to get treatment.

Well i am into crack and alcohol... and hash and weed... smoking for 3-4 years... d only way to reduce is to go to rehab... or keep urself busy... i ve reduced a lot now... i play cricket... attend classes... then work... and squeeze in my drinks and smokes in between... but it is almost 30-40% of what i used to do... now i dont have the urge to get high all d time.. because m usually tired... best of luck bro... hope u sort urself out...

If I knew this answer I would; be a very rich man. But your right you do need to stop and recognising you have issues is the hardest step to take so build on your good start.

Right now it is more important that you seek out a rehab treatment so that you will be able to overcome the addictions that you currently having. Then and only then will you be able to devote the time required. Don't waste any time. The longer you wait the more difficult the situation will become in that it will affect the way in which you carry on your school work. The sooner you start on this path the sooner you will be able to go back to school and be more successful in that endeavor.

If you go to you doctor they will refer you to someone who can help, i was taking drugs alot but after realising the effect it was having on my body and my mental state i decided it needed to stop, ive got problems with my liver from taking amphetamines and drinking too much tryin to stay awake to study for exmas and stuf. You should speak to your doctor and they will get u someone to talk to, it really does help even if you dont get treatment jus to speak to a physcologist and they figer out ways to help you through it.
