About the only way to stop doing meths is to get locked up or die. there is nothing you can do to help and it would be a good idea to not have him in your life because he is just going to steal your stuff. the only thing he is thinking of is doing meth, trying to make it, and getting money. I say its about as bad as heroin as far as its horrible life changing effects go. even after I started having grand mal seizures, a stroke. and went for a couple helicoptor rides i still wanted to get high. a week in ICU on my death bed. lets get high. the drug is so bad there are not words to even say. the drug is the devil. i knew this dude who got caught cooking and did over 12 years in federal prison, 12 YEARS of his life. got out and guess what he did like right away. got high again. the laws have changed greatly to slow it down and make it harded to make and get but it is still coming into our borders. the garbage is the devil. my poor mother did everything possible to get me to stop but it was getting locked up. inpatient treatment may work but chances are very slim. he needs to have some life changing event happen. lose a best friend from it, burn a hole in his nose, have some seizures, jail or prison. im so sorry and will pray tonight that there will be something that will help him get his life back on track. |

You can't help him if he doesn't want the help. Even if you try to convince him, take him to church, or anything. He will not stop using until HE WANTS to. ...but hey...you can always try right? take him to a NA group. na.org/ ?ID= ips-eng-index |

I too have had a family member who was caught up using meth. Initially we tried outpatient therapy but it didn't work, it seemed like it was too easy for them to continue using since they were still in the same environment other than counseling and it was too easy to keep getting meth. What did end up working was a residential treatment center that some of our friends had gone to that offered a holistic approach, where they offer multiple treatment programs based upon the individuals needs. It worked great for us and my sister is still sober today. Here is there info: journeyrecoverycenters.com/ Best of luck! |
