Question: How long does drug rehab last?

My girlfriend has been sent to rehab 5- 6 times for abuse by her family and friends. She's addicted to LSD :( Today she submitted herself to rehab and is actually wanting to do it for once, we've had long talks and she's finally done with the drugs. She mainly wants to do it because she knows how much I care about her and that I will be by her side the whole time. Approxamitely how much time does the average person spend there, considering they are seeking help on their own? I want her to get help as quickly as possible but i understand these things could take time. Thanks!

Typically 28 days. That's how long they lock people down who are drug addicted. But when she gets out she will still be an addict. She will need out patient care once she is released. You will need to go with her to Narcotic Anonymous meetings. Be a big help.

It depends on how addicted she is. As LSD is not physically addictive, she is psychologically addicted to the drug. It could take a while for her to break the habit she has formed of using LSD to cope with life. Possibly up to 6 months.

I hate to break it to you man, shes gonna screw you over bad. She can't help it, she might not even want to, but she will.
