Well it depends on where you live but there is one in Ventura, Ca. Right near the beach I thought about going it looks very nice. Very elegant. I hope he will recover, drugs are hard to over come. I know my whole family is/ was an addict. Good luck! |

Google: "drug detoxification; (your city); (your state) ". Check out a few places; talk to some patients, not just the staff. Find out whether they use a medication, like Naltrexone, or force them to go "cold turkey ". Addiction is addressed in section 52, at ezy-build.net.nz/ ~shaneris including tips & support groups for rehab. |

Hi this is a South African facility but it isinternationally reknowned, the programme is however 5 months minimum but is worth it I dont believe that short term treatment will work in the long term. The staff are amazing and they are so very dedicated to helping, some have been through it themselves and know exactly what they are talking about. really believ me the place is fantastic it saved my life (although i was there for anorexia and depression) they spescialize in drug and alcohol addicition (tho as said they took me in so also some eating disorders too) they also deal with everything that leads to and perpetuates an addiction, its not just a detox, they teach you how to get your life back and how to cope with what you will face when u leave. they are called the SOUTH COAST RECOVERY CENTRE, and are located on the east coast of South Africa, in the small town of Ramsgate, they have a website so google them, its worth it. |

Www.dawnfarm.org The detox is free, the long term residential is relatively inexpensive, and it's a serious program. It is a cold-turkey detox, but it's worth it, because it puts things in perspective. Also, there is the option of Brighton Hospital in Brighton, Michigan. They use a medication called Suboxone, which is the easiest, most painless way to detox. It is an opiate agonist/ antagonist, which means it keeps withdrawals away, but if someone were to try to get high while using it, they would not be able to, and would get sick instead. Suboxone can also be prescribed through a certified Suboxone doctor, and your nephew could detox at home and then spend the money on a long-term rehab that would help him dig deeper into the causes of his addiction, because addiction is not a drugging disease, it is a thinking disease, and unless the core issues are addressed, the odds of staying clean are slim. A Google search for suboxone will lead you to the official website, and they can help you find a doctor. I know how hard this is to kick, as I've tried many times, but it sounds like he's really ready. I wish you all the best of luck. |
