I’ve always been skeptical about these programs that claim to help any addict to live a clean life. For me, all of their claims are just for publicity to drum up their business. For once, I would like to hear the opinion of others regarding this issue. I’d like to get as many opinions as I can so I can fairly weigh the pros and cons of these detox programs. |

I am an ex policeman who had a very good mate addicted to the vile stuff. he went cold turkey with plenty of support from us. it took him a few weeks to see the light at the end of the tunnel, but everyday now he rings me to thank me for my support. we have a few beers together quite often now which is his drug of choice. the methadone programs just continue to feed addictions with a similiar form of drug and detox programs are not very successful. you need plenty of support and especially WILLPOWER. |

Clean for Life.....been through these Detox programs and yes they do work but clean for life is something you yourself have to work at everyday for the rest of your life. They can give you all the tools to work with but in the end it's totallly up to YOU. I can honestly say that programs llike these saved my life. |

A friend of mine once underwent a complete drug rehab program in Florida. According to him, the program started in a close examination of him. Several interviews were conducted to trace the root of his substance abuse. The next steps were quite painful according to him, because it entailed a several exercises or procedures that aimed to help him become independent from that vile substance. |
