How long will 8mg of subutex block methadone?
I been taking methadone for 4 years. I didnt have any so I took a subutex from my friend, 8mg. Tomorrow I go back to the methadone clinic. Will the subutex block my dose? If so, for how long?

Can you switch over to Suboxone from Methadone once you have started a methadone program ?

I was an IV user of anything i could rig up to shoot in my veins, primarily Dilaudid, for about 7 years. I've been going to a Methadone clinic for 3 years as of March 19th, 2010. Since being there, I have not touched one drug, one drink, or one cigarette even. I know it will be slow going, probably a year or so, but I would really like to start coming down, from 120mg , and try to quit. However, I'm SCARED TO DEATH that the moment I no longer have Methadone, I will quickly cave in to an urge to get high. Even though I know it has some effect on me, because obviously I'm relying on it , I no longer feel any kind of effect after taking it each morning. Sometimes I even forget to take it and will realize it mid morning and then go take it. I'd like to know if anyone who had an extremely severe addiction, like mine, used Methadone to " get clean" and is now off of it and has remained drug free??

Can i take methadone to france?
i live in the uk and im taking 45ml methadone daily, and on daily pick up from the chemist. i am planning to go to france this year and wanted to know if i'll be allowed to take it into the country and if i need to get permission from anyone. i'll be going for no longer then a week. and should be going by ferry or channel tunnel. what authorities do i need to inform, and do i need to let the ferry channel train staff know. and do i need a note from drug clinic or doctor?any help would be much appreciated.

Badddd cramps, would methadone help?!?
I have cramps that I cant get under control. NOTHING is helping and Ive been puking.. Im being offered a 10mg methadone, would it help meee? Ive taken it before and I was fine. But not in awhile. I dont want any sort of pill hangover tomorrow.. what should I do? ? Take halff? THis is so unbearable

I only take 20mg. I take physeptone linctus 50mg, which is 5 2. I take 25mg in the morning and then I just want to sleep. Also on Effexor. I used to be on 8mg of subutex, so i am defnitely used to opiods. Could it be a side effect?

The Methadone is given to me by pain management dr's, and I have since had my last visit because I tried smoking canibus as another form of pain relief and was dismissed as a result. Please no chastising, I know what I did wrong, my question is, I have 1 bottle left 120qty , I'm used to taking 10mg x4 a day, I went through detoxing a few years ago and it took 6 months to get out of my system or to feel normal again, but it almost killed me and was the worst hell anyone could imagine, I know now at 43, there's NO way I could make it out of detoxing solo and live through it, I just know I would not be able to do it, I would have to leave my work for months, does ANYONE know of a decent way to get this stuff out of my life, I'm having trouble seeing another PM dr because when the records are transferred, it clearly shows I breached the contract and they always turn me away? Please, if anyone knows of the best way to do this, I would virtually owe them my life.....anybody please?

Ok so I was stupid and did methadone for a few days, maybe like 4 or 5. VERY little, like 15 or 20mgs a day IF that. I took that much cuz I have a tolerance to pills.. I found out how fast you can get addicted, & how bad the withdrawls are and Im scared.Its been 4 days now since I did it... will I be cool?NOT doin it again by the way, so no bitching please...

I have noticed where I take my bus, there is a methadone clinic. I guess it's for ex heroine addicts. however, they still have the same effects, look drowsy, nod off, slow and slurred speech. If this is a drug, what is the main difference that our government will set up and pay for these clinics, and not simply a rehabilitation center?

My husband and I just got off methadone's... It's been a week for me and I still feel like shit. I only took a 10mg. a day and that only started in the last year. For two years I only swallowed a half My hubby on the other hand has taken ALOT in a day for the past six years. I figured my with drawl would be fairly quick but I still feel hell after a week. I've been doing research and they all say that someone who has taken a lot of these pills needs assistance of some kind. My husband is freakin' out The researches also say it can last up to years to get past the with drawls I don't have time for that Who really knows how long methadone with drawls are? And because I took far less than my hubby will my pain last years too? I'm worried about him and don't know what I could do to help him and help myself. On top of keeping it cool in front of two children. Any help would be appreciated
