Question: Is it possible to detox from heroin using methadone?

Yes. You will get addicted to the methadone though. But the withdrawl from methadone won't be as bad as the withdrawl from heroin. You need something a bit more than a nicotine patch to get off heroin. If you get on methadone do it under a doctor's care. Don't buy street methadone or you'll end up addicted to both and 1+ 1= 6 is this formula.

As far as im aware, its what heroin addicts are given to try and ween them off heroin. from what ive read though, its just as addictive, and the addicts end up just taking methadone and heroin or replacing one addiction with another.
