Have taken for 10+ years and just heard ultram can cause seizures when taken with methadone.I take methadone for pain as it's half life is 24- 36 hours. instead of increasing the methadone, I try to take otc meds to help with pain.

Pain killers or sSuboxone. And Zanex could make you go in to respatory failure.

Methadone is contraindicated with Cisapride, Dronedarone, all MAOI's, Phenothiazines, Pimozide, Toremifene, and Ziprasidone. There's a pretty huge list of drugs that should be avoided (or have alternatives considered), but those are the worst (mainly because of potential cardiac effects).
