I'm going to a rehab detox tomorrow, and was wondering what they do for you. I'm on 125 mcg of Fentanyl every 2 days. I've been on this for 3 years. I've tried weeing myself off, but it didn't work. Lately I've been using to much, and not having any at the end of the month. I need professional help. I just would like to know what they do for people like me, thanks. Andrew |

You can read my profile, to understand my answer... Unless it is a medical detox they will only treat the symptoms-diarrhea, vomiting, muscle cramps... Sometimes in medical detox they will actually put you under for 24 hours and do what they call a rapid detox so you don't have a lot of physical problems, BUT part of recovery is remember your withdrawal, so you are less likely to go back to using. Having been on Fentanyl that long was it prescribed by a doctor??? If so why has the doctor not weaned you off of it using less powerful pain medications and stepping you off over time... God Bless and hang in there |

With what you're currently on they will probably give you meds to help with withdrawl symptoms, & to keep your system stabalized. Unfortunetly there isn't a 100% comfortable detox, but they can help some, which is better than nothing. It isn't a very nice thing to go through, but well worth it in the end. I wish you luck, hang in there! |
