How long does it take to kick a vicodin addiction?
My husband has severe pain in his head, neck, and back. He takes hydrocodone for it, became addicted like most people do, and wants to quit. It's his second day quitting and going through withdrawals. He was prescribed Ultram to help with the pain, but it doesn't help that much. How much longer will he be in pain? Thanks. Also, is there anything I can do to help him feel better? His birthday is tomorrow, and I hate seeing him in so much pain.Eric If he didn't have any painkillers, he wouldn't be able to move.

A question about vicodin addiction?
I took 3 4 Vicodin a day for approximately 6 weeks. This was for multiple tooth infections, and ultimately extractions. They started at 7.5mg does and, after the extractions, the does was upped to 10mg.I was worried about stopping, for fear of withdrawal. I haven't had any for over 24 hours now, and I don't feel any kind of withdrawal. I am taking Ibuprofen for the lingering pain and feeling fine.Is it safe to say that I did not become addicted? I was really concerned about this, even though I was taking it for legitimate reasons.
What is the best way to kick a vicodin addiction?
i am really hurting with withdrawls and i feel like i need them to function or have any type of pleasant day. i especially need them when i am hurt emotionally. i guess i use them to kill both physical and emotional pain. i use them for fun and for a coping mechanism. i know i have a problem but it is soooo hard to get them out of my head.
How do you deal with a vicodin addiction? I used to take one and now I'm up to 6. I love it but NEED to stop?
Oh no.. not 6 a day... 6 at a time lol. I take approx. 13 a day. I don't always take 6. It ranges from 3 6 depending on how I'm feeling. I've overdosed in the past and stuff too.. I have depression so... idk... I take Prozac but theres only so much it can do since the main problem causing my depression is still here. I am totally addicted to vicodin though. I've tried to get off it many times but I just cant.. When I'm not on it, I crave it like crazy and it's all I can think about.. It's completely killing my grades too... dang idk what to do...

Husbands vicodin addiction question?
My husband has had a vicodin problem for the last 20 months. He took 5 or so pills a day. I found out 2 weeks ago and it was a relief to him. He quit cold turkey. He had withdrawls for the first week, but, then he started talking about how great he felt. He said he hadn't felt this good in two years and he was so glad I found out and that he was able to quit. Now, he told me that even though he doesn't want the pills anymore he is starting to feel tired again. It is a let down to him because he had been feeling so great. Is this normal? Is there anything he can do to feel less tired or is this just normal life now?
I need help with my vicodin addiction. i have no insurance. where can i go?
Can anyone give me some info on vicodin addiction and rehab?
My husband has been addicted to vicodin for 2 years. I found out in March. He went cold turkey and made it through the horrible with drawls. He was clean about 2 months, then, he went back to using. He was only using a week or so before I found out. He started going to NA meetings faithfully, got a sponsor, and seemed to be doing well. He made it 3 weeks and used. He got back on track and made it another 10 days. Used again. He came home last night and told me he can't do this alone, on the outside and wants to go to rehab. Of couse I said great. So, he is going to detox Tuesday and then to a inpatient facility. How will rehab help him? He gets his vicodin at his job and it is not going away and he cannot quit his job. Will rehab make him stronger? I have no idea what to expect. Any help would be great. Anyone had the same problem and stayed clean? Thank you so much for any info.
Question about Vicodin Addiction?
I have been with my man for a little over a year. We live together. He is such a good man to my daughter. He treats us both with love and respect. He works hard, and he even is a full time, straight " A" student in college. Recently, I found that my vicodin bottle was empty, and I questioned him. He admitted that he has a vicodin addiction, but that if they aren't around, he'll be okay. On one hand, I'm hurt that he took vicodin out of my bottle and lied about his addiction, but on the other hand, he is very supportive of me. He is always around to help when I'm feeling sick, he cleans up the house, cooks, supports me, and is very kind. He expressed to me that he is going to contact his doctor and let him know that he's addicted I'll know if he's lying because I work in the same doctor's office as my bf's doctor . Should I stay with my boyfriend even though I have some apprehensions?
What kind of physician should I see about a Vicodin addiction?
I'm a 22 year old female trying to kick a 2 year long vicodin addiction. I'm not sure what kind of physician to see or where to go. There are outpatient clinics that specialize in addiction and I also have a psychiatrist but both of whom are unable to see me for another month. Is there any way that a family practitioner or a pain specialist could help me out? If so, how do u think they would go about treatment? Any advice is appreciated, much love
